Alpaca
wool is spun from the fleece of the
Alpaca animal, first cousin to the
Llama and the Vicuna; all native to the
Andean highlands
(Peru, Bolivia, and Chile) of South
America. The Alpaca fleece
creates a very warm and cozy
garment. The delicate cloud of
filaments
make it almost silky and
very soft to the touch. The hollow
fiber makes it a lighter weight with
greater capacity to insulate.
Valued as cashmere,
it is warmer and stronger than
lambs wool.
Wrap
yourself in the warmth and luxury
of alpaca fleece, you'll feel very
elegant wearing the wonderful
capes, shawls,
and sweaters
sold at Galeria Quetzal. |
